Location: Massena Yoga Studio Schedule: July 10, 17, 24, 31, August 7 at 6-7pm in Dark Room Duration: 5 Weeks • 60 minutes per session Facilitator: Susan Barber Skinner, PhD Description: Your senses are the doorway to presence. In this five-week series, we’ll slow down and explore mindfulness through the rich landscape of the five senses: sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. Each week will highlight one sense and offer guided meditation, gentle breathwork, and experiential practices to help you reconnect with your body and the world around you in simple, grounding ways. Whether you are new to meditation or looking to deepen your practice, Awakening Your Senses offers a refreshing way to be fully present in your everyday life—inviting moments of wonder, stillness, and calm. What to Expect: Week 1 – Sight: Guided visual meditations and mindful observation Week 2 – Sound: Deep listening practices and soundscape awareness Week 3 – Touch: Grounding through body scans and textured exploration Week 4 – Smell: Mindful scent experiences and memory connection Week 5 – Taste: Eating meditation and savoring the moment Come prepared to engage gently, reflect deeply, and leave each session feeling more connected—to yourself and the world around you. Please bring: A journal, comfortable clothing, and an open heart. All sensory materials provided.
Cancellation Policy
Classes are nonrefundable but the system automatically will return a class to your card if you cancel in advance. If you purchase a class as a drop in and do not hit reschedule please message us so we can give you a credit for the class. In the message please put the date, time and name of the class you cancelled. Cancellations less than 24 hours in advance will not be honored due to limited availability of classes. All classes must be prepaid. You may now enter through the front door as we now have both spaces up and running. Please remove your footwear upon entrance. There may be two classes running at one time. When you book online it will tell you which room your class is in. Please store your personal items in the front if your class is in the front and the back of your class is in the back. Please ARRIVE 10-15 minutes before the start of your class. The door will locked at the time the class starts and we will not be opening it if you are late. Tardy, No shows and cancellations less than 24 hours are non-refundable. There is a 2 person minimum for hot and warm classes. If 24 hours before the start of the class there is not two people signed up, the class will be cancelled. If you have a punch card the class will be returned to you card. If you payed for a single session a credit will be applied to your account. You will receive an email or text when the class is cancelled. Please make sure to have your email and phone in the app and allow it to alert you by email and/or text so you can know if there are changes.
